LAYERS OF THE EYEBALL-
it consists of three layers are as follows -
°Fibrous layer.
°Vascular layer .
°Nervous layer.
*FIBREOUS LAYER-
it consists two part CORNEA (which cover anterior 1/6th part of the fibreous layer) and SCLERA (which cover posterior 5/6th part).
Junction of the cornea and sclera called LIMBUS . And Conjunctiva firmly attached at the limbus.
*VASCULAR LAYER-
It consists of three parts IRIS, CILIARY BODY and CHOROID.
It also supplies the nutrition to the various part of the eyeball.
*NERVOUS LAYER-
It is associated with visual function , and project to the visual cortex through visual pathway.
SEGMENTS AND THE CHAMBERS OF EYEBALL-
the eyeball can be divided into two . segments-.
1- Anterior segment ( in consists Iris, cornea, two aqueous humour filled space, and posteriorly bounded by the lens and its zonules and laterally by the ciliary body).
2- Posterior segment (it consists the structure posterior to lens , namely vitreous humour, retina, choroid, and optic disk).
